Who are we?
Welcome to Deeplish Community Centre Association, a trusted pillar of support and empowerment in the heart of our community since 1989. Our purpose is to provide a welcoming and inclusive space where individuals and families can access resources, build connections, and unlock their potential.
Our journey began as the Deeplish Residents Association, operating from a small space known as the Green Hut on Hare Street. With joint funding from the NHS and Rochdale Council through the Urban Regeneration Fund, we moved into a purpose-built centre alongside an NHS health centre and a community base. It was here that Deeplish Community Centre was officially born.
Guided by our vision to be an integral asset to the community, we provide a wide range of services that contribute to the area’s growth and regeneration. From education, arts, advice, wellbeing and health initiatives to volunteering opportunities and family support, we aim to empower individuals, celebrate diversity, and foster sustainable development.
At Deeplish Community Centre, we aim to be a source of hope, support, collaboration and opportunity. We are dedicated to serving people of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on those who face challenges such as social isolation, language barriers, financial difficulties, or limited access to opportunities. Whether it’s supporting children, young people, adults, or seniors, we believe in nurturing a sense of belonging and promoting positive change for everyone.
Today, Deeplish Community Centre Association is a 35 years strong and vibrant community-
based organisation that promote voluntary and community services with the core purpose of
improving the quality of life of our residents, by working with them, to promote sustainable
communities.
